• All Rusted Bayou Farms (RBFL) goats are guaranteed to be purebred. RBFL is a member of the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). Registerable goats will come with an application for registration with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) or with an online registration transfer, at the seller's discretion. All registered goats will be tattooed before leaving the farm. We will dis-bud all goat kids prior to selling.​

• All goats leaving the farm will be free and clear of any illness or disease. Goats will receive age-appropriate vaccinations and worming prior to leaving. A record of these treatments will be provided at the completion of the sale. Once the animal has left our property, we cannot be responsible for it's health.​

• RBFL guarantees stock until one year of age from proven congenital defects. RBFL must be notified within three days of death. A necropsy from a licensed veterinarian must be provided and RBFL will receive a copy of all findings. A replacement animal will be offered of similar quality, this is at the discretion of RBFL based on available stock. No refund will be issued. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer.​

• If you would like to reserve a goat from RBFL, a deposit of $100 per goat is required upon commitment to purchase. We offer goat choices based on first deposit, first choice. If purchasing an un-weaned goat, RBFL will retain the goat until weaned (at approximately 8 weeks of age). If a goat dies or becomes ill after a deposit has been made, we will offer another available goat or a refund.​

• Once you make a commitment to purchase, the goat is no longer available to other buyers, and therefore, your deposit is non-refundable. Goats not picked up within 30 days of sale or weaning date (without having made prior arrangements) will revert back to being the property of RBFL and any monies paid are retained to cover boarding fees and loss of marketability. If you back out of the pickup date, you will be charged boarding ($30 per week per goat or $5 a day per goat).​

• As the buyer, you agree to educate yourself in the proper care, nutrition, housing, social needs etc. of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Goats are herd animals and should be treated and maintained as such. No goats will be sold to single-goat owners. All prospective buyers should either already own goats or have plans to purchase multiple goats. You agree to provide for the routine preventative care of your new goat. We make a point to be available to answer any questions!​

• It is the goal of RBFL to ensure that our goats go to caring homes. We are concerned for the well-being and humane treatment of all animals who leave our farm. Therefore, we reserve the right to withdraw from the sale of any animal at any time and for any reason. In the event that RBFL chooses to exercise this right, any funds paid to RBFL in relation to this specific transaction will be refunded in full.​

• RBFL is happy to assist with transportation arrangements for the animals. We can meet within reason for free and can deliver under certain circumstances for an additional fee depending on location. If the goat is being shipped/transported, the buyer is responsible for any costs associated with the transportation including but not limited to carrier, airfare, vet check, and health certificate. Please discuss transportation arrangements with us prior to placing a deposit.

• Discounts will be given for 4-H and FFA showman and package deals.

• All goats can be Louisiana Bred certified.
